Students from all walks of life are pursuing a college education; as a result, funding is at a premium. With the rising cost of education in
America today, the words "college" and "scholarship" almost go hand in hand. While we realize that responsibility and hard work are core qualities
to develop in a young person, even when a student does all that is possible, there is often a large school bill left unpaid upon graduation.
That is why we created the Demonstrative Need Scholarship Fund. The DNSF is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization, the purpose of which is to grant scholarships to qualified men and women students training at fundamental Christian schools—in particular, Bob Jones University—who have good character and a strong academic record but who are also financially needy.
The DNSF three-member board understands firsthand the importance of a quality education. We take great care in our decision-making process, knowing that the needs are great and the resources few. Each student is carefully selected, and only those we consider in the greatest need are invited to apply for a scholarship. We are thrilled when we realize that through the DNSF hundreds of students will be able to have the joy of completing a college education without an excessive amount of debt. This freedom will allow them to be more effective pastors, missionaries, and Christian layworkers, going out to serve Christ all over the world.
Many of these students are from families who are able to bear only a small portion of the financial burden an education incurs. Others are completely on their own. They are dependable, trustworthy students who need just a little financial encouragement from friends like you.
I am a CPA, and not a week passes that I don't hear another report of someone in financial disarray. We know that the only true way to make a difference in our society is through the saving grace of Jesus Christ. Through your support of the DNSF, however, we can do our part to help train many young people to go out and address the hard issues of our day from a Christ-centered position. I believe it is time for those of us who understand the needs of the day to aggressively respond. Will you join with me in our effort to make a difference?
Thank you for your consideration.
